About Me:

Jaekuro is a lifestyle blog tracking my writing
journey in hopes to give some insight to other aspiring
writers. I cover my shopaholic nature with product
reviews. I highlight my Ganja-goddess adventures and
occasional life-woes. The road to recognized
author never ends; but here, we can talk about everything
in between!
Hi!
I'm Jae.
From a young age, I've always known that I wanted to write.
My life has been an uphill journey to accomplish that dream.

I wanted to write books and live in my highrise condo. I
dreamed of Sunday afternoon-drinks with the girls; and, I
quickly realized it may not be a reality in my
small hometown. After moving from Mobile, Alabama to
Las Vegas, Nevada I promised myself that I would live out
this Carrie Bradshaw' dream no matter the cost. To pay
bills in college, I started writing video-game reviews in 2010. I was also -secretly- writing a lot of fanfiction as I got better.

I'm pretty sure those Yu Yu Hakusho and Inuyasha fanfics are
still around somewhere!
I published the first book in my series, Siren, in 2011.

With my giggly and ironically-introverted
ambition, I started as a contributing writer for gaming blogs. I became a regular personality in the video game industry and continued writing fiction on the side.

After a stint in cosplay and modeling, I became a certified MUA for Sephora, I continued working in makeup and modeling, doing shows for Redken, Good Dye Young, and Ubisoft, to name a few. From there, I moved into cannabis as a content writer. Well, you can check on Instagram for more on that. You can find my portfolio here.

I've learned a lot from the industries that I have been a part of. They have all taught me lessons that have shaped me into the human that I am today.
In the hope that it helps some other aspiring writers and cannabis consumer, this blog is my cache of experiences and knowledge. The internet is a world of enlightenment but, it's hard to find a starting point. Whether it's writing fiction, helping cultivate content, or just growing older, finding the path is a pain. Let me guide you through it. At the very least, let's share a glass of wine while we figure it out together.

With love,
Jae
